Le sensazioni e le emozioni delle tante età e fasi della vita se ne vanno col tempo e restano soltanto frammenti nei ricordi. È forse un limite umano al bagaglio di sentimenti che ci si puo’ portar con se lungo il cammino. A volte un odore, una combinazione di colori, una scritta, fanno rinascere il ricordo e l’emozione di un momento, che poi veloci svaniscono dinuovo. Che peccato non poterle fermare, immortalare, conservare.

I wish everyone a happy 2026!

I just completed reading The 3 Body’s Problem trilogy by Liu Cixin, which I liked with alternate feelings. The ideas were quite intriguing; however, I found the story overly speculative given its length, and at times it was difficult to connect the different eras and the leaps from one situation to another.. Additionally, the Chinese names were difficult for me to remember and figure.

Before that, during the summer, I enjoyed Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke.

Currently, I am into Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky, which, based on the first 20%, was probably a wrong choice due the too many spiders and ants, altough the story itself seems quite interesting.

Sci-fi remains my favourite genre, although the last two books I finished did not leave a significant mark on my memory or thoughts.

Cakes prepared by Diego, Wanda, and Guni during a quiet weekend at home. And I received Adventskalender that my kids prepared for me and Guni during the past weeks, working secretly in their rooms; they are such beautiful and lovely kids. My Family!

Herbstferien week was spent with my family in Frankfurt visiting the Blume family, and in Center Park Medebach with the Stein family.

Celebrating my birthday early in the morning with my family. Full of presents of every sort. They have been planning this for weeks: it is great to be loved.

This year’s home production includes basil, gralic, tomatoes, and peppers!

First time was in 2014. Then in 2023. Then this year. We like this place. Weather was very good most of the time and we could enjoy North Coratia this year as well. It’s amazing to think of a place Guni and me first discovered when we were 2, and coming back to live this same place now that we are 4, with these 2 beautiful beings, Wanda and Diego, we created from our love.

On the way back we also visited Salzburg for the first time.
