Mallorca, in 2 half times lapelazzuli, September 23, 2022September 24, 2022 The vacation in Mallorca was partially ruined by sickness, a flu that caught Wanda and Guni first after 4 days, then Diego and myself on the last day and once back home. We’re OK now, Guni and the kids are fine already since a while, for me this thing lasted ten days more or less. Still I enjoyed the first 4 days there when we were in complete family formation, and the second part the time alone with Diego has been a time full of love and memories to keep. Schade! But I feel strong and blessed to have such a beautiful family, wonderful kids getting more beautiful every day. And talking to them, spending time with them gets nicer all the time. Continue Reading
Continue Reading
Continue Reading
I ❤️ Kvaratskhelia. E pur a Kim. lapelazzuli, September 8, 2022October 19, 2022 SSC Napoli shines! Released from the ballasts of aged and overrated players like Insigne and Koulibali (Mertens excluded, he was really a top one), Napoli now shines a bright light made of new and young talents who are showing an enjoyable game with class and fair-play. I ❤️ Kvaratskhelia. E pur a Kim. (E pur a Simeone). Continue Reading

One Year Schwabe lapelazzuli, July 11, 2022July 11, 2022 Celebrating the first year Anniversary of our life in Herrenberg. It’s been an intense year full of things, and I am happy of the choice we made to move here. It was the right time to leave Berlin and to start the new life Baden-Württemberg’s chapter. This was the first Region of Germany that I met, the first impression I had of this Country, and I had always hoped to live here sooner or later. And here I am now, here we are now. And I believe we are enjoying it (with Spring and now Summer ahead! the best time of the year!) Continue Reading
Istria, Croatia lapelazzuli, June 26, 2022July 3, 2022 13 to 23 June 2022. Istria, Croatia. Rovigno exactly. We hadn’t had a vacation for a long time, due to covid and our relocation to Herrenberg last summer. So we were really looking forward to spend days off with the entire family, which we did with thus holiday in Croatia. Finally the see and Mediterranean for the kids. Stayed @ the Polari camping in Rovigno, a huge place on the coast. We had a Mobile home, and following kids desires we spent almost every day by the swimming pools and went to the beach just a couple of times. Weather was very good, very warm…hot actually. We visited the old city of Rovigno and found a good real neapolitan pizzeria there, “Zita”. We reached Croatia by car, one of the advantages of living south Germany! On the way to Rovigno we stopped for one night in Hallein in Austria, while on the way back the overnight stop was in Sankt Michel in Lungau (Landhaus Lungau). Both beautiful places. We have all enjoyed these couple of weeks of vacations. We came back home this weekend, and spent a nice Saturday evening bbq with friends in Mönchberg… and in time to join the Zwiebelkuchenfest in Kuppingen! Continue Reading
lapelazzuli, June 1, 2022June 7, 2022 Niko visited us in Herrenberg during a longer Bank Holiday weekend. We spent time together in the town, on the mountain tower, at home, and dining out the 2 of us like the old times in Berlin. Lisi and her new born baby girl followed up after Niko and stayed at our place for a couple of days. So it was a good time with my family and part of the Kremer’s one. Continue Reading
Back to the Office lapelazzuli, May 23, 2022May 23, 2022 After more than 5 years, today I returned to sit in a Company office at my location (which is Böblingen since we moved to Herrenberg). They closed the office in Berlin back in 2017, then Corona pandemic kept the offices closed in Germany. And so today I have lived this good feeling again. Continue Reading
ROMA – Missione Magliana II lapelazzuli, May 14, 2022June 7, 2022 13-17.05.2022Missione Magliana II, 20 years later Missione Magliana happened 20 years ago, in 2002, and initiated the story of myself-and-my-place-in-Rome which has known many phases, participants and protagonists over the years. With Missione Magliana II this chapter of my life comes to a end in 2022.My thoughts and gratitude go forever to those times, to the place I lived, owned, managed during these 20 years; and to the people who have crossed my life in and around the apartment in Rome, who have helped me in settling there and making that place and my life of those years warm, important, intensive, and more.…While in Rome those 4 days I had the chance to meet some of the places, food, and people that I miss. I stayed at Corrado & Silvia’s place, and spent very good time with them, evenings at home or walking through Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese and Campo de Fiori… eating Pizza Bianca with Mortadella. I saw Gianfranco and Marco one evening in Trastevere, sitting in front of a wonderful Amatriciana. And I met my roman relatives, Melina, Luca, Maria, Antonella & co.. Continue Reading
Quarantine/Isolation lapelazzuli, April 9, 2022April 9, 2022 Almost 2 weeks of quarantine/isolation for my family after a couple of positive Covid tests for Guni and Wanda. Most important thing is that they experienced almost no symptoms. Peter and his family where here for a visit when it happened, and they isolated from us in another part of the house. Strange situation, but we managed it. I wonder about the reliability and the sense of these tests at the current stage of the pandemic. Continue Reading

Diary 2022 Super Hero lapelazzuli, March 26, 2022March 27, 2022 You are a Super Hero, Diego. Every day. A beautiful kid, full of love and light. Seeing you supporting your sweet sister while she was crying as she missed her Mamma after a day without her, helping her at all costs also against my will… Always protect your sister, Diego, always be by her side; she is more important than me, she is part of you and you are part of her. A sunny day with you two my loves, Wanda and Diego. I try hard, but I know Mamma is something different for you, I understand that, I do not have her patience, her sweetness, I am simply not the mother. But I love you. I really do. And I admire you, as the best, good, better being I have to inspire myself to. Continue Reading
lapelazzuli, March 4, 2022March 4, 2022 There is a lot happening, inside my life and outside. Weeks move fast. Work is a roller coaster. Family is filling and warming the days. lapelazzuli, January 22, 2022January 22, 2022 About one year ago I moved this website under the WordPress.org platform. Gradually moving what can be moved of the legacy pages is also an opportunity to revisit and refresh some of them. The Back in Time page contains the archive of this Diary’s posts since Lapelazzuli.com foundation in 2002, plus the chronicles and thing I remember of the previous years until back to 1974 when I was born. And I am recently reviewing those pages adding a summary of the decades 70’s, 80’s, 90’s. If you’re wondering who is ever interested in this: I am. It helps me in remembering the beautiful journey of these years. It feels good to remind what I do not want to forget. We normally live our present and with our minds focused on today, maybe on tomorrow and the future, and on few days back. I try to preserve here my personal memories of a life I love. I write this website in English. Rarely, especially when I am particularly lazy, I also use my mother tongue, Italian, as it comes more fluid to me, I have a richer vocabulary. And with today’s tools none who is really interested in the content would find it hard to have it quickly translated. Continue Reading

Continue Reading

Christmas, Kids and Bartali lapelazzuli, December 26, 2021December 26, 2021 We are living a cozy Christmas period in Herrenberg with our family; Peter, Anne and their children are here, and Marie Luise and Christoph too. Our kids are happy and overwhelmed with joy and surprises (they saw Santa leaving our house after dropping the presents!). Guni cooked a delicious parmigiana di melanzane. I enjoy singing and playing Paolo Conte’ songs lately. It’s a beautiful time. Continue Reading
